It was IE, since I remember there was a gradient set for them but not a regular background (it happens, I've done it), and IE didn't support CSS3 gradients properly until IE 10.

That functunality went away last year, I believe. Prior to last year it would turn color when you exceeded the goal and then purple when you officially won.
